Building Generational Wealth requires us to have “extra money” that we can put aside and allow it to sit on a regular basis. Because most Americans are living paycheck to paycheck this is not always an easy thing to do. Even an amount as small as $35.00 per month may prove to be an unattainable goal. That is why Generational Wealth Empowerment Network number one goal is to show all of our members legitimate ways to make money from home in their spare time. To all of our members who have asked us to “Show Me the “Work from Home Money” we are listing five (5) work from home opportunities in this post!
Image being able to climb out of your bed, make a cup of delicious coffee or tea in your favorite mug, and shuffle to your desk in your slippers and robe ready for work! Well, when you work from the comfort of your own home you do not have to image this, because it becomes your reality every day!! Although I have found when you shower, brush your teeth, and put on a comfortable yet nice outfit you feel more professional as you greet your callers.
Each week we will create a post and/or video that outline at least 5 work from home opportunities. Some of these opportunities will be “independent contractor” opportunities which means in most cases you will be able to make your own hours. Other opportunities will be W-2 employee opportunities which will require you to work a set schedule. We will provide our members with the name of the companies, a brief description of the type of job requirements, website links, and when available telephone numbers and other contact information. ALL of the opportunities we provide are legitimate opportunities.
Most of these work from home opportunities are customer service related and could involve taking inbound or outbound calls. Some positions may be technical service positions. Good grammar, basic computer knowledge, clear and pleasant speaking voice, compassionate, professional, and friendly personalities are the minimum requirements. All of these companies whether independent contractor or W-2 positions provide training on the systems they use and their script requirements.
There are a few differences between the independent contractor and W-2 opportunities which I would like to take a few moments to explain. 1) As an independent contractor you are your own business. This is the reason you are able to select the days and hours your work. 2) As an independent contractor/business you must cover all expenses associated with setting your business up and miscellaneous expenses such as, background checks, taxes, equipment purchases, etc. 3) As an independent contractor there may be “program fees” and “platform usage fees” which means you pay a small fee to register to work for companies and you pay a small fee for using the company’s online systems/platforms. 4) Because you set your own hours your earnings are flexible which means you determine how much as can make.
W-2 opportunities means that you will be an employee of the company you are providing services for. 1) This means they assign your work schedule with little or no room to change. 2)The company generally provide paid training and they also pay for background checks. 3) W-2 opportunity programs withhold taxes and usually provide the computer or laptop you will use to provide services. 4) Your salary is set and the only options to increase your earning would be by working overtime the same as any W-2 position.
As you may have already guessed, my favorite work from home opportunities are the independent contractor positions as they give me the greatest degree of earning freedom and time freedom. However, for many people the W-2 positions are a better fit for their lifestyle. That is why I will be providing opportunities in both areas.
